Winter Reminders for Cat Parents
February 8, 2019

To Our Dear Supporters,

Thousands of cats are lost and surrendered every year, and many of them end up in shelters.

This year, at the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society, those cats included not only a 14-year old with advanced dental disease, but also his brother — a young kitten with a serious, but treatable heart defect — and dozens of gorgeous Persians who were neglected and living in a hoarding situation nearby.

Can you imagine having to choose between them?

Thanks to your kind-heartedness, when other shelters have to say no, MRFRS says yes! We open our doors — and our hearts — to save another cat’s life. Since our inception, the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society (MRFRS) has saved the lives of 121,000 cats, including placing nearly 22,000 cats and kittens into loving homes, spaying or neutering over 13,000 feral cats at our Trap-Neuter-Release clinics, and helping a total of 60,000 cats on our Catmobile.

It is only through the generosity of friends like you that we can continue this hopeful, impactful work, and create happy endings for as many cats as possible. With your gift today, you’ll be changing the lives of cats throughout our region who need our care. Will you please join us to assist even more cats and kittens by renewing or increasing your annual gift?

Thank you for giving us the means to transform a weak and sickly kitten into a beloved family pet, to give elderly cats the stability and comfort they deserve, and to make a meaningful contribution to the reduction of feline overpopulation. Together we can work to not only improve their lives, but also offer hope and creative solutions when and wherever they’re needed most.
