The MRFRS elves would like to remind everyone about our Whisker Wonderland Open House on Saturday, December 8th from 11:00AM-4:00PM.

Here’s a preview of what they’re up to in the workshop:

New This Year – The Great MRFRS Cat-fectionary Challenge!

Our holiday open house is your chance to do a little holiday shopping that benefits cats in need and to be crowned the 2018 Cat-fectionary Champion in a new event that’ll take place during Whisker Wonderland!

Bakers who’d like to enter may submit one dozen individual, cat-themed deserts – think cookies, cupcakes, brownies or other creative mini deserts. (No full pies or cakes, please!) During the Whisker Wonderland festivities, our panel of dessert devotees will taste each treat and will judge each entry on taste and appearance. Medals will go to the top three deserts and the first place baker will also win a behind-the-scenes tour of MRFRS, the honor of naming a cat, and bragging rights as the 1st Annual MRFRS Cat-fectionary Champion!

If you think your cat-themed dessert would wow Paul Hollywood, contact info@mrfrs.org for details including when to drop off your cat-fectionary and how to list your ingredients.

Shopping, Crafting and Treats Galore!

In addition to the bake-off, there will be a delightful bake sale (contact info@mrfrs.org if you’d like to donate a baked good), a tempting gift basket auction and a Kitty Kraft Korner where for a small donation, kids can craft while their parents enjoy the event! Plus, Clawdia’s Cans (adorable magnets made from recycled cat food cans) will on sale along with homemade toys, kick sticks and knits!
