3 Common Cat Behavior Problems and How to Fix Them
September 30, 2018

We are thrilled to announce we’ve been given a $2000 grant from The Petfinder.com Foundation. The adoption staff always works hard to help the feline leukemia positive (FeLV+) cats who make their way to MRFRS find loving homes.

Congratulations to Stormy and Summer!
They are the first two FeLV+ kitties placed with the help of The Petsmart.com Foundation grant!

These cats are often overlooked by potential adopters because they may need a little extra TLC as they grow older and, because FeLV can be transmitted to other cats through mutual grooming, these special cats need to live alone or with other FeLV+ cats. It can take a little extra time, but eventually, the purrfect person walks through the door, falls in love, and gives an FeLV+ cat or two a place to call home.

The “New Year, New Home” Grant awarded to MRFRS will give our staff the opportunity to shine a spotlight on MRFRS’s FeLV+ population by reducing adoption fees for these friendly felines and give cats of all stripes and statuses  the best possible chance to live happily ever after. Take moment to check out the press release below, learn more about The Petfinder.comFoundation, and if you’re interested in meeting our FeLV+ felines, call our adoption counselors at 978-462-0760 or drop by for a purr and a pet during adoption hours.
