A Flood of Generosity

Our deepest thanks to each and every one of you who gave to the Bail Out The Basement Matching Grant Campaign.

In just a few days, you helped MRFRS meet the $10,000 fundraising challenge we needed to receive the $10,000 matching grant from The Harpley Foundation.

These funds will go a long way towards paying for the costly construction and repair work needed to make sure the excessive rain that’s been a fixture this winter can’t seep back into the basement and ruin the intake area, hospital room, laundry, and offices. In fact, the Basement Bailout Appeal raised over $20K on and offline, which amount coupled with the Harpley Grant will cover most of the cost of this project! Your help in achieving this amazing result is greatly appreciated.

Over the next three weeks, construction will continue to finish the needed repairs. This means – thanks to your generosity – when kittens begin to pour into the shelter this spring, the construction will be finished and we’ll be ready to receive them!
