Walkin’ in a Whisker Wonderland – 12/14/19

You’re invited to join MRFRS’s shelter staff and resident cats for this beloved holiday tradition on Saturday, December 14th.
11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Whisker Wonderland is an event not to be missed. During this special open house, MRFRS will throw open the doors to the adoption center and warmly welcome the community to join us in celebrating the spirit of the season. 

The MRFRS elves have been planning and preparing to present you with unique handmade items, including knits to keep you warm this winter, notecards and stationery, beautiful jewelry, cozy cat beds, organic catnip toys and other creative gifts to give to loved ones or keep and cherish. All sales support MRFRS’s programs that assist cats in need.

During Whisker Wonderland, star bakers can throw their apron in the ring and compete in The Great MRFRS Cat-fectionary Challenge.

Bakers who’d like to enter may submit one dozen individual, cat-themed deserts – think cookies, cupcakes, brownies or other creative mini desserts. (No full pies or cakes, please!) 

During the festivities, our panel of dessert devotees will taste each treat and judge each entry on taste and appearance. Medals will go to the top three desserts, and the first place baker will also win the honor of naming an MRFRS kitty!

And not to worry. If you’re not a baker, there will be plenty of treats for sale to satisfy your sweet tooth.
