On Sunday, July 20th we’re excited to offer rabies and distemper vaccines for $20, nail trims for $10 and FREE microchip identification for cats and dogs. The clinic will be held by appointment only at MRFRS’s Adoption Center located at 63 Elm St. in Salisbury, MA.

The FREE microchips are thanks to a grant from the Cummings Foundation.

Book your appointment today as they are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no income or residency requirements – just arrive with your cat in a carrier or dog on a leash and MRFRS’s vet and staff will take care of the rest.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. You can register for an appointment online (detailed instructions are below). If you have any trouble, please call the Shelter at 978-462-0760.

*Please provide proof of a prior rabies vaccine for your pet if you would like to receive a three-year rabies vaccine.

Step by Step Instructions for Registering Online

1. To register online, select Cat Wellness Appointment, Dog Wellness Appointment or Microchip Only Appointment.
2. Click “Next” and scroll to the clinic date to choose a time slot.
3. Fill out pet owner’s information.
4. Fill out pet’s information (please upload proof of prior rabies vaccine if you would like your pet to receive a three-year rabies vaccine).
5. Click “Add Package” and add 1-year or 3-year package (must have proof of a prior rabies vaccine for your pet if you would like to receive a three-year rabies vaccine).
6. If you do not need a microchip, please add a comment in the “Notes” section.
7. Pre-payment is required and non-refundable – enter your credit or debit card information then click “Request Appointment” – you will be sent a series of confirmation emails following your appointment request.
8. Have more than one pet? You’ll be brought back to the beginning of the form to fill out information for an additional pet. Please fill out one appointment request per animal.

Join us Saturday, August 2nd from 5–7 PM at BareWolf Brewing (12 Oakland St, Amesbury) for an evening of cats, craft brews, and maybe even your next best friend! 🐾💕

We’ll be bringing some of our adorable, adoptable kitties! Whether you’re looking for a new feline family member or just want to enjoy some kitty cuddles and a cold one, we’d love to see you there.

✨ Come for the beer, leave with a cat (or at least a warm fuzzy feeling)!

If you think you may be interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption questionnaire in advance. Pre-applying is not required but it does expedite the process on the day of the event.

Join us at MRFRS for our Clear the Shelter Adult Cat Adoption Event, August 14th – 16th! We are looking to find homes for several special adults cats (12 months+) who have been at the shelter for far too long just because they are a little shy or maybe a bit spicy. They are looking for their chance to find a forever home and thanks to the generosity of one of our supporters, the adoption fee for these special cats is being covered!

🎁 Plus, every cat or kitten adoption during the event will include a “surprise” gift (while supplies last)!
