Since April 25, 202, the MRFRS shelter has been closed to the public and while there’s still activity for emergencies and surrenders, adoptions have been impossible. It’s been difficult knowing there are many lovable cats and kittens looking for homes – and homes looking for them – and not being able to see them happily connect with each other.
We’re pleased to share that a bridge from cats to caretakers is being built and the creative women who staff the shelter will be introducing a virtual adoption process in the not-too-distant future!
This will include a virtual meeting with an adoption counselor and the kitty via Zoom, all-digital adoption paperwork, and then a safe and sterile send off for adopted kitties at the shelter.
Keep an eye on social media and our website for more details as the program is rolled out or email adoptioncounselor@mrfrs.org for more information.
Don’t worry – we hate spam too. We promise not to email you too frequently and will not share your information with other organizations.
