The 2019 Fur Ball was a special evening to raise much-needed funds to support MRFRS's life-saving programs!
The evening was purr-fect!
The kitties who've come to MRFRS were snoozing in the shelter, in foster homes and at the homes of their forever families, when donors, cat lovers, and volunteers gathered at the 25th Annual Fur Ball Gala & Auction to ensure that these cats would continue to be kept safe and healthy by MRFRS in the year ahead.Save the date!
The 2020 Fur Ball is scheduled forSaturday, October 24, 2020.
~ details to be announced ~

It takes many paws to provide the services cats in our community need.
It is heartening to see so many generous donors come together at this event to support a cause they care so much about and to make a difference in the lives of cats and those that care for them.

We also hope you enjoyed hearing from people touched by MRFRS's programs.
The MRFRS board of directors and executive staff were honored to introduce you to several people who were able to keep their cats because of MRFRS programs like FARS and Care for Life that help to provide assistance and medical care for cats whose medical costs would make it prohibitively expensive for loving families to keep these cats safe and healthy at home.

Doug Meehan, anchor of WCVB 5 EyeOpener joined us this year along with auctioneer, Steve Deorocki, and returning auctioneer, Frank Bertolino, to host the live auction.
They did a stand-up job letting the audience know all the details they'd need to "bid high and bid often" on items in the live auction. A few bidding wars were encouraged (all in good fun of course - and for a good cause) and they entertained the crowd with their banter and jokes. The Fur Ball audience was also cast as stars of the EyeOpener’s “Wake Up Call”. Check out the video!

Thank you for caring for cats and lending your paws to this beloved cause.
