MRFRS' Sunday Spay/Neuter Clinics for feral cats is one of our longest running and most effective programs.

They are held in collaboration with MSPCA Nevins Farm where a hardworking team of veterinarians, vet techs and cat lovers volunteer their Sunday morning to “sneuter” and vaccinate unowned cats.

Over the years, thousands of cats have been brought to the clinic by trappers and colony caretakers from miles around. These kitties receive treatment free of charge and they are returned to their territories and monitored (and often fed) by the kind people who care for them.
The clinics have been an integral part of reducing the population of cats in the area leading to higher adoption rates at shelters, a healthier cat population, and happier neighborhoods.

Are you a veterinarian, vet tech, or someone interested in volunteering at a clinic?

Please email our Volunteer Coordinator at stacyw@mrfrs.org and she'll get back to you with more information about the Sunday Spay/Neuter Clinics.

Sunday Spay/Neuter Clinic Gallery

If you're not a trapper or clinic volunteer, you've likely never had the opportunity to see these extremely efficient, well-organized teams at work. We'd like to share a few photos from a spring clinic to give you some insight into what it's like.

Please Note - We want to give you an accurate depiction of the Sunday Spay/Neuter Clinic and so did not censor pictures. Images in this gallery include sedated cats, needles, and surgical procedures that may be inappropriate for young or sensitive viewers. They're not gory. However, if surgery makes you queasy, you may want to skip this gallery.

Sunday Clinics are funded by the Massachusetts Animal Coalition’s license plate fund, the Bernice Barbour Foundation, and generous donations given by cat-lovers, like you.
