Step out from June 1-30 for MRFRS's 26th annual Strut for Strays!
The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society's Strut for Strays Virtual Challenge will take you on a 20-mile journey through Newburyport, Amesbury and Salisbury, retracing MRFRS’s history and accomplishments along the way.
Each time you complete a distance-based exercise such as walking in your neighborhood, running, cycling or swimming, you log your mileage to advance along with the Strut for Strays map.
You'll complete the challenge with a group of feline lovers you'll also be able to see advance along the map.
Get moving with MRFRS's Strut for Strays Virtual Challenge today! You can fundraise to earn a special edition Strut t-shirt, hoodie and medal, but best of all you'll be a part of making paws-abilities come true for cats in need.

Earn a medal, t-shirt or hoodie!
Celebrate your achievement with a Strut for Strays Virtual Challenge finisher's medal which you'll receive if you complete the challenge by June 30.
And, you can earn this year's Strut t-shirt and hoodie by fundraising for cats in need.*
Every individual who raises at least $300 will get the coveted hoodie, and those raising $50 will receive a Strut t-shirt. Raise $500 to get both the zip-up hoodie and the t-shirt!
*If you prefer to purchase a t-shirt or hoodie, you have the option to do so when registering for the challenge.

Virtually travel through MRFRS's history
The "My Virtual Mission" mobile app will map your progress on a virtual 20 mile route through Newburyport, Amesbury and Salisbury. Every time you add a workout, you advance on the map.
You can enter an activity into the app either by manually entering its distance or by syncing your activities from your favorite fitness tracker or smartwatch.
Not only can you see your avatar and others on the map, but you can also explore your virtual surrounding on Street or Satellite View as you advance along the Strut for Strays route.
