We’re lighting up the internet to raise Strut for Strays awareness!
The Olympic torch won’t be making its way around the world this year but MRFRS’s virtual torch relay is lighting up the internet! As more people participate, the word will spread that the Virtual Strut for Strays is coming up and the money raised makes a difference in the lives of cats and their caretakers.
Perhaps you’ve seen these cat lovers, their kitties, and their “torches”?
You can pass the torch too!
If you’d like to get involved, just snap a cute selfie (or someone-elsie) with your kitty and your “torch” and copy/paste the following post into your Facebook or Instagram feed, fill in the blanks and challenge your friends.
PASS THE TORCH! I’m raising awareness and funds for feline rescue and walking in the virtual MRFRS Strut for Strays. (You can register at mrfrs.org/strut too!) Before the “opening ceremonies” I’m challenging animal lovers to light up the internet and cross the world with our “torch”. I challenge [friend] and [friend] – Find your cat. Create a torch. Passing the torch is the easiest way you can help promote the event and anyone can participate – volunteers, donors, and anyone you know who loves their cat!
So get creative with your torches, show off your feline friend, have a laugh with your friends, and together we can make the virtual Strut for Strays a success!
As of this morning, you have helped raise $20,865 and we are 2/3rds of the way to our $30,000 goal! The Strut for Strays starts this Sunday so don’t delay – start the relay and together we can reach the goal!
