Low-Cost Rabies and Microchipping Clinic

On Sunday, October 24 from 9 a.m. to noon we’re excited to offer low-cost rabies vaccines* for $10 and FREE microchip identification for cats and dogs (thanks to Cummings Foundation!). The clinic will be held by appointment only at MRFRS’s Adoption Center located at 63 Elm St. in Salisbury, MA.

Appointments are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Cat appointments are in the morning (9-10:30 a.m.) and dogs are late morning (10:30 a.m. – noon). You must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing. There are no income or residency requirements – just arrive with your mask on, cat in a carrier or dog on a leash and MRFRS’s vet and staff will take care of the rest.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. You can register for an appointment online or by calling the Catmobile at 978-465-1940 (if you have both a cat and dog, please call us to schedule your appointment).

*Please provide proof of a prior rabies vaccine for your pet if you would like to receive a three-year rabies vaccine.

Step by Step Instructions for Registering Online

1. To register online, select Cat Vaccine Only Appointment, Dog Vaccine Only Appointment or Microchip Only Appointment.
2. Fill out pet owner’s information.
3. Fill out pet’s information (please upload proof of prior rabies vaccine if you would like your pet to receive a three-year rabies vaccine).
4. Choose location “Rabies Clinic – MRFRS” 63 Elm St 01952 Salisbury MA.
5. Click “Search Date” and scroll to Oct 24 to choose a time slot (cats are in the morning and dogs are in the afternoon – if you have both, please call the Catmobile at 978-465-1940 to book your appointments).
6. Click “Add Package” and add 1-year or 3-year package (must have proof of a prior rabies vaccine for your pet if you would like to receive a three-year rabies vaccine).
7. If you do not need a microchip, please add a comment in the “Notes” section (microchips are free).
8. Pre-payment is required – enter your credit or debit card information then click “Request Appointment” – you will be sent a series of confirmation emails following your appointment request.
9. Have more than one pet? You’ll be brought back to the beginning of the form to fill out information for an additional pet. Please fill out one appointment request per animal. If you have a cat and a dog, please call 978-465-1940 to book your appointment – thank you!
