Low-Cost Rabies and Microchipping Clinic

On Sunday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to noon we’re excited to offer low-cost rabies vaccines* for $10 and microchip identification for $15 for cats and dogs. The clinic will be held by appointment only at the MRFRS’s Adoption Center located at 63 Elm St. in Salisbury, MA.

Appointments are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. You must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing. There are no income or residency requirements – just arrive with your mask on, cat in a carrier or dog on a leash and MRFRS’s vet and staff will take care of the rest.

Pre-registration is required and pre-payment is strongly recommended. You can register for an appointment online or by calling the Catmobile at 978-465-1940. We’ll also be offering pet food (cat and dog) from our Pet Food Pantry to anyone who needs it. If you need pet food in addition to your appointment, please email us at info@mrfrs.org or give us a call so we can prepare your order ahead of time.

*Please bring proof of a prior rabies vaccine for your pet if you would like to receive a three-year rabies vaccine.

Step by Step Instructions for Registering Online

1. To register online, select “Cat Vaccine Only Appointment” or “Dog Vaccine Only Appointment”
2. Fill out pet owner’s information
3. Fill out pet’s information (please upload proof of prior rabies vaccine if you would like your pet to receive a three-year rabies vaccine)
4. Choose location “Rabies Clinic” 63 Elm St 01952 Salisbury MA
5. Click “Search Date” and scroll to Jul 25 to choose a time slot
6. Click “Add Package” and add 1-year or 3-year package (must have proof of a prior rabies vaccine for your pet if you would like to receive a three-year rabies vaccine)
7. If you want a microchip, click “Add Service” then “Microchip”
8. Pre-payment is strongly recommended. To pre-pay, check the box at the bottom that says, “Would you like to pre-pay a deposit amount?”
9. Click “Request Appointment” – you will be sent a series of confirmation emails following your appointment request
10. Have more than one pet? You’ll be brought back to the beginning of the form to fill out information for an additional pet – please fill out one appointment request per animal
