Presenting the 2024 Graduating Class of MRFRS’ “Wallflower Academy”

Graduation isn’t the end of a long journey, but the beginning of a beautiful new one!

MRFRS has 13 paw-some Wallflower Cats, ready to “graduate” from the shelter and begin the next chapter of their lives in their new adoptive homes. These cats have made significant strides in gaining confidence while being at MRFRS, but to really grow and be all they are meant to be, it’s time for them to be adopted.

What is a Wallflower Cat? 

As defined by Jackson Galaxy, a “Wallflower” is a shy cat – one who might hide in a closet or under-the-bed. The primary objective of a Wallflower cat is to remain unnoticed, as close to invisible as possible and safe from scrutiny.

With patience and using proven methods of turning a shy cat into a more confident one, Wallflowers can blossom into loving, affectionate pets who form the most special of bonds with their humans. They also make wonderful companions in households with an existing cat – no need to worry about friction introducing a Wallflower into the mix, as they like having a feline friend to show them the ropes.
