The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society’s Mentoring Program for Free-Roaming Cats
Effective November 1, 2015, the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society is launching a “primer grant program” for grass-roots feline welfare organizations.
Each group accepted to the program will be assigned an experienced mentor, who will help the organization develop a new fundraiser to generate $1,000. MRFRS will then match this revenue with $1,000, creating a pool of $2,000 to be used for spaying and neutering free-roaming cats. If you believe your group might qualify for and benefit from this program, please email Stacy LeBaron at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at 978-239-2090.
The original MRFRS mentoring program, supported by PetSmart Charities, ran from 2012-2015 and assisted over 50 organizations in launching pilot Trap / Neuter / Return programs and obtaining grants for additional work from PetSmart Charities Free-roaming cat program. More than 9,350 cats in 15 states were assisted during the program.
If you would like to be put on a list to be kept up to date on mentoring opportunities as they become available, please email email@example.com.
The MRFRS is a nationally recognized, nonprofit volunteer-driven organization committed to ensuring the health and welfare of feral and domestic cats and kittens by promoting proactive, compassionate, no-kill programs. For more information, please call 978-462-0760 or visit www.mrfrs.org.
