Please Help Us Help Haversack!

We have a special situation with a friendly young cat we’re helping. Here’s his story and here’s how you can play a part:
Handsome, two-year-old Haversack was brought in to us in late January. Despite being a stray, he was an extremely friendly and easy-going cat with a hearty appetite. About three days after he came to us, our staff observed that he was having difficulty breathing. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where 360 ccs of fluid — about the contents of a 12 ounce can of soda! — was removed from his chest.
The staff at the emergency vet was unsure of what might be causing the fluid build-up and recommended euthanasia…click here to continue reading Haversack’s story!

The Adoption Center will be closed on Saturday, August 13th, so the staff can attend a company event.

We will be doing adoptions by appointment only on Saturday morning (8/13) from 9:30 am to noon. Appointments must be set up in advance (by Friday 8/12) by calling the shelter at 978-462-0760.
